If your rent falls behind
If you miss a rent payment, contact us as soon as possible. We check rent accounts each week. If your rent is 7 days or more overdue, we will contact you by phone, SMS, email or letter.
Getting back on track
You can:
- pay the amount owing in full, or
- agree to a repayment plan.
If we agree on a repayment plan, we will give you the payment dates and amount in writing.
If we cannot reach an agreement
If your rent stays overdue and we cannot agree on a repayment plan, SCH may issue a Notice to Vacate. If the issue is still not resolved, SCH may apply to VCAT. We will continue to contact you and try to reach a repayment agreement during this process.
If you are having financial problems
If something unexpected is making it hard to pay rent, tell us early. You may be able to ask for financial hardship support.
If you think the amount is wrong
Tell us if you believe your rent account is incorrect. We will review it and provide a rent statement.
