In late 2010, St Kilda Community Housing received two community grants from the City of Port Phillip. One project involved tenants in a photography group run by Carmel Rogan, a graduate from RMIT. An exhibition happened in mid 2011. The group also exhibited at the Ballarat Biennale in August 2011.

The second project concerned the production of a regular newsletter. SCH is aiming to produce a newsletter every 2 months with input from tenants. Our first newsletter funded by Port Phillip went out in December 2010. Since then another four have been published. To view these publications, go to the Publications page of this website. SCH is committed to continuing the newsletter out of our own funds.

Since the, Port Phillip Council has funded the photography Group for a second year and an exhibition is planned for late June/early July 2012.

The City of Port Phillip has also funded SCH to undertake a housing needs analysis of the residents of the Gatwick Hotel. That project will result in a publication which should be availabe from July 2012.
